Each year, we invite all our friends over for a festive and competitive pumpkin carving party, full of Halloween-y tricks and treats for kids of all ages. Each year, I scour the pages of Pinterest for inspiration on the most boo-tiful food and drinks for the party, and this year was no exception. Here’s what we came up with:
A cauliflower skull sets off the veggie plate, paired with jalapeno ranch. Instructions here.
Pumpkin snickerdoodles for the PSL fans in the group. Recipe here.
Our tried-and-true favorite of the guacamole puking pumpkin, with salsa in his head.
Monster cookie bars were the easiest ever – just use any prepackaged cookie bar recipe, and add Reese’s Pieces and candy eyes to the top.
The showstopper – royal icing sugar skull cookies, decorated by yours truly.
Combined with a few party staples: cocktail weenies, snack mix, marcona almonds, candy corn, and wings we ordered from a local restaurant, we ended up with seemingly the perfect amount of food for about 50 attendees. And this party food fueled some excellent pumpkins as well! Check out this year’s artistic creations below:
