In case you haven’t heard, tomorrow, October 13th, is Amazon’s annual Prime Day.
The special annual sale was delayed from the usual summer date because of Covid. But, the sale must go on, and so the annual purchasing-palooza kicks off at midnight Pacfic time, or 2am for my large contingent of Texas readers.
While online shopping has been one of our go-to guilty pleasures during the quaran-times, we can still find one or two more things to tempt our fancy. Here’s a few items I’ll be keeping an eye on during Prime Day!
1. A Vertical Rotisserie
If I had to pick my two favorite cuisines of all times, I would hands down, without question, pick Mexican food (plus Tex-Mex variations), and Israeli food (which is really a sneaky way of saying a variety of food from around the Mediterranean, since Israeli food incorporates so many other influences.) In particular, I’ve been missing Tacos Al Pastor and Doner Kebaps during quarantine. But if I had a vertical rotisserie like this bad boy, I could make both of these dishes at home! This is currently topping my list.
2. An Ergonomic Office Chair
We’ve been working from home for six months now, and while we agreed the hubby could get our designated “office”, the two of us both talk too loud and have too many overlapping meetings to work from the same room. So I’ve been working largely from the couch, which is really not ideal. I’ve tried working from our dining room table, but the chairs there just don’t suit all-day sitting…so I’ll be keeping my eye out for a great deal on a new chair, like this one which I’m pretty sure is what we have in my actual office.
3. Airtight Kitchen Canisters
We find these incredibly useful in the kitchen and pantry, and with the recent popularity of The Home Edit on Netflix, I anticipate we’ll see some good deals around organizational supplies. I like this set in particular because it also has chalkboard labels, making it easy to distinguish between things that look similar – like different types of flour, for example.
4. Smart Water Bottles
I got one of these for my birthdays this year, and it was seriously game changing. I’ve never been great about drinking enough water throughout the day, and this has really helped me to up my intake! I’ve loved it so much, in fact, that I’m hoping to snag a few as gifts, so will be keeping an eye on the price of these to see if they go on super sale.
5. Magazine Subscriptions
My mom loves magazines — especially travel magazines — and as she’s been in hardcore quarantine herself since March, I’ll have my eye on whether there are any good deals on magazine subscriptions for Prime Day. There usually are! Last year on Prime Day, you could get a 12-month subscription to a decent selection of titles starting at just $0.99. The catch is that they auto-renew at a much higher rate, so you just have to make sure to cancel before your subscription is up. In fact, some of these deals have already started —with prices down to just $2 for a year’s subscription in many cases.
Keep in mind for any of the top Prime Day deals, you’ll need Amazon Prime membership, but you can
